My teeth hurt
Last Thursday was the big day. The braces went on, and I must admit I'd forgotten how uncomfortable they are. It's been 10 years since the last set, and I guess that is a long time, so that explains how I'd managed to forget that important fact. One other thing I'd forgotten: how disgusting the glue they use to stick the brackets on your teeth tastes. I was sitting there with my lips pulled off my teeth, and the most uncomfortable thing holding my tongue out of the way, and thinking I might throw up as I could taste the glue. Then I got to wondering how I might communicate this fact since I wasn't able to move my mouth at all. It was a bit of a dillema.
So anyways, the braces are on, and will be for about the next 18 months. Then they cut my jaw apart and do a few more months of braces. Sounds like the most fun ever, right? ;)
At least my teeth have stopped hurting from the initial moving. My teeth have definitely already shifted pretty noticeably.
