Book club
So, the ladies at work started a book club. Month number 1: Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. I finished another Margaret Atwood book a while back, while we were in Ontario, and loved it, so this one should be a good read as well.
This all got me thinking that I have some books on the shelf that I'd like to read, as well as some others that we talked about tonight that sounded really good.
So, some books to read:
The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Fifth Business by Robertson Davies (along with the other two books in the trilogy)
And some that I really liked:
I was a Teenage Katimavik by Will Ferguson
The Blind Assasin by Margaret Atwood
Why I Hate Canadians by Will Ferguson
pretty much any girly book there is :)
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
About a Boy by Nick Hornby
Not exactly the most academic of lists, but an enjoyable one. I'll keep posted on the book club thing and how it's going...
